Description

HEAVY CUT POLISHING PASTE FOR DEEPER DEFECTS AND WEATHERED PAINT!

Restore Cutting Compound is a premium high abrasive machine polishing paste offering the latest technology in heavy cut abrasives. A very sharp and homogeneous paste with diminishing abrasives produces a high cutting action and leaves a excellent even finish ready for refinement. Ideal for cutting badly weathered clearcoat and heavy paint defects, severe swirl marks, deeper scratches and can effectively remove up to 1500 grit sanding marks.

The NEW Autobrite Direct “Correct-it” range has been designed specifically for use on modern ceramic and scratch-resistant clear coats, they have also proven themselves to be ideal for use on harder (German) clear coats in situations where maximum levels of paint correction are required to correct paint defects. Easily identified colour coded pads and compounds make paint correction a piece of cake. Restore is best used in conjunction with an Orange DA Correct IT pad for heavy swirling, scratches and paint defects and all modern paint finishes including hard German clear coat.

Aimed at professional detailers and enthusiasts, these products offer significant advantages in terms of finish quality and work time compared to competitors. Each Product offers fully detailed, easy to understand instructions, cut and gloss scale –  thus ensuring the right product is used at the right stage of the paint enhancement or correction.

HOW TO USE AUTOBRITE DIRECT RESTORE:

Before Machine polishing your vehicle ensure that you have cleaned and decontaminated the paintwork thoroughly to ensure that the surface is completely free of contaminants that could potentially damage the vehicle paintwork or your machine polishing pad. We recommend masking any delicate areas that could be damaged through contact with the machine polisher such as grilles, badges etc.
Once you have masked the vehicle and chosen your pad and compound combination you are ready to polish.

If you are using a new polishing pad we recommend applying a greater quantity of compound to “prime” the pad for use.
Working on a area of approx 15×15 inches, begin polishing at a low speed to spread the compound and gradually work up through the speeds until the desired machine speed is reached.
Once you are at the appropriate machine speed, work the compound until the haze begins to clear, this is the abrasive component of the compound breaking down and starting to polish the surface after cutting, while machine polishing a close eye should be kept on the panel temperature. Once the compound has reached the clear stage it can then be removed with a soft pile buffing towel to reveal the correction status. We recommend the use of IPA (Panel prep) to remove any residual polishing oils and reveal the true level of correction.

Once you are happy with the condition of your paintwork a sealant or wax would need to be applied for protection.
